Overview


A throttling control system, consisting of an air-driven controller, an electromagnetic flowmeter, an alligator-mouth valve, and a level measurement system, is suitable for both full-pipe and non-full-pipe flow measurement. It can be used for precise control of specific flow discharge, i.e., by monitoring the flow rate in real time through the flowmeter, controlling the opening degree of the alligator-mouth valve to achieve precise discharge of a specific flow; or it can also achieve precise flow measurement, i.e., by controlling the valve to shape non-full-pipe flow into full-pipe flow, and then measuring the flow rate accurately through the electromagnetic flowmeter.

Application


• At the rainwater detention tank and combined sewer diversion facilities, control is exercised over the drainage side to regulate the flow entering the sewage treatment plant and activate detention space


• On the drainage side of municipal sewage treatment facilities, flow control is employed for precise billing purposes

• The inflow rate to the sewage treatment plant is regulated

Features


1)  The meter is suitable for both full-pipe and non-full-pipe flow measurement, enabling dynamic flow control of the network and integration of precise flow measurement and throttling regulation


2)  Automatic throttle control: The flow meter controls the valve opening, precisely regulating the discharge of a specific flow rate. When the discharge flow reaches the maximum set value or throttle value, the system automatically switches to flow control mode (the system adjusts outflow based on the measured signal), with a deviation within 1%


3Precise flow measurement: By adjusting valve opening using liquid level signals, ensuring full-pipe measurement by the flow meter for accurate measurements with a maximum deviation from actual values within 1%. Short reset time, no running duration, and precise adjustment


4)  Sludge flushing function (self-cleaning): Valve adjustments are made to achieve maximum-flow conditions during self-cleaning through flushing processes


5)  Power failure protection function: In case of power failure, the system automatically restores valves to an open mode


6)  Emergency throttling mode (configurable): During power failures, pressure pads on controllers are short-circuited with air compressor storage containers via pressure reducers; these reducers have emergency pressure buffer settings


7)  Precise and fast response: Pneumatic-based fluid control systems utilize seamless pressure regulation allowing at least 1000 gradation changes for program-controlled operations with minimal deviations


8Convenient maintenance: Self-cleaning functionality reduces manual sludge removal requirements significantly lowering maintenance frequency


9Safe & environmentally friendly operation: Pneumatic drive eliminates electric or hydraulic drives in hazardous areas
